│▓│ a los salones de baile. El danz≤n es un baile cubano que utiliza el │▓│
│▓│ ritmo del cinquillo. Por lo general las parejas bailan muy pegados y │▓│
│▓│ sacrifican la velocidad por el estilo. El movimiento debe ser muy │▓│
│▓│ sutil y sin un gran desplazamiento en la pista. Los exagerados dicen │▓│
│▓│ que una buena pareja de danz≤n debe ser capaz de bailar en el ßrea │▓│
│▓│ equivalente a una moneda de centavo. │▓│

│▓│ afroantillana que se origina en el siglo XVII a partir del son │▓│
│▓│ cubano. El son cubano fue bailado por los negros de Cabo Verde en │▓│
│▓│ sus fiestas o bembΘs. Posteriormente fue adquiriendo popularidad en │▓│
│▓│ el resto de las Antillas a travΘs de las danzoneras (orquestas │▓│
│▓│ dedicadas al danz≤n). En el siglo XIX fue incluido en las obras │▓│
│▓│ sinf≤nicas de varios compositores │▓│

│▓│ El baile del danz≤n consiste bßsicamente en bailar │▓│
│▓│ dibujando un cuadro o dos cuadros seguidos con los pies en el piso. │▓│
│▓│ La pareja gira y se hace girar a la mujer, manteniendo el mismo │▓│
│▓│ ritmo. Cuando la orquesta hace una pausa en la m·sica, se le │▓│
│▓│ aplaude mientras las mujeres se echan aire con el abanico y los │▓│
│▓│ hombres se acomodan su ropa. En ciertas canciones, el ritmo se │▓│
│▓│ acelera al final y se baila mßs rßpido (eso sφ, sin perder el │▓│
│▓│ estilo) y a ritmo del son cubano. │▓│
