An unusual and fascinating entry in Gabor Szabo's discography,
Small World is a gem of Szabo's fine musicianship and one of the
guitarist's more notable achievements. Recording in Sweden
with Swedish studio musicians including guitarist Janne Schaffer,
Szabo seems inspired and covers the spectrum: the energetic electric
jazz of "Foothill Patrol," his own beautiful take on the otherwise
corny "People" and a tremendous solo version of Rodrigo's "Concerto
de Aranjuez." Small World is Gabor Szabo at his very best.
