instruments to allow them to play bass as well as guitar, often
simultaneously. Both are capable of incredible virtuosic soloing.
Dane Richeson began the concert with the first of many drum solos that
were nothing short of astounding. But what was striking about this band is
that they clearly were having fun, despite the complexities in the music.
At one point, after an extremely mellow and emotional piece, even Grassel
looked stunned, as if it were out of his hands completely. I canÆt
