Release #001 see's the regular trio of Pagal, Mihai Popiviciu & Jay Bliss team
up once again to deliver, what for us is without doubt one of the finest
releases of the year to date. Pagal has, over the past 10 years cemented his
reputation as the 'King of Afterhours', and his DJ sets have won him an army of
fans throughout Romania and beyond. His first foray into production came in
2005, and since that time he has teamed up with Mihai and Jay on number of
releases, all set to drop this year. Mihai and Jay are still riding high from
the success of their EP alongside Markus Homm on Diynamic Music that has been
riding high in the sales charts. Mihai the man from Sibiu is fast becoming
recognised as one of the most innovative producers out of Eastern Europe.
Discovered and signed by DJ Hell in 2004, his 'Sexy Spenders' track made it onto
the 'International Deejay Gigolos Comp 8'. The following year saw his first 12"
release on the label, the 'Tales From The Moon EP'. Successful releases have
followed, most notably 'First Contact' on Pascal Feo's 'Level Non Zero' and of
course 'Bis Co.' on Diynamic. Jay Bliss has been making waves in the scene for
the past couple of years. Whether its winning awards in his home country,
running his own digital label 'Exposed Audio' or supporting the worlds finest DJ
talent, Bliss has consistently dropped some of the hottest Detroit inspired
house and techno of recent times. With releases and mixes on Bang Bang, Fear of
Flying and Smoke City, and signing to Immigrant Records exclusively under his
'Hermannstadt Collective' guise alongside Mihai, 2009 is set to be a monster
year from the fellow Sibiu man. Inn Chant opens the EP, and the boys are taking
us to the church of Almighty House, and askin, no telling us to bow to the power
of the groove. The drums are playing, the congregation are clapping and the
Reverend preaches some warped guitar on our asses... Add some crisp snares and
diva vocal drops and we've got some serious flavour going on... The rest of the
EP doesn't let up either. We have the relentless tracky-ness of 'Mime Machine'.
The cut up skills and piano stabs of 'Nirvana' and epic, multi-layered beauty of
'Vegas'. The skills of this trio are here for all to see. Their ability to find,
carve and perfectly place samples is superb, and I am certain that this first
release with put All Inn Records firmly on the map!!
