Stone Mecca is a movement û a tapestry of soul, funk, R&B, live
instrumentation, emotion and melodies. First Contact (Touch The Music) is an
introduction to a uniquely soulful sound. As founder, producer, bass player
and one of nine members of Stone Mecca, Tru JamesÆ performance resume reads
like a whoÆs who list of stars: Earth, Wind and Fire, Aaliyah, Ice Cube, Mack
10, Too Short, RZA, mega producers Dallas Austin (TLC, Monica) and Herby Luv
Bug (Salt n Pepa). HeÆs also rocked the stage with that seminal crew, Wu-Tang
Clan.
As part of the Wu-Tang Family now and harnessing the ôfuture soulö vibe, the
group also consists of vocalists The Squire Jevon McGlory, Princess Tre Azure,
Princess Dionna Nichelle the Sorceress, and The Countess Adrienne King.
Instrumentalists include Inglewood Green aka Prince Super Day and DBG aka
Prince Darryl Wallace on keys, Branches aka Prince Michael Roundtree on drums
and Corey Joseph aka Sir Joseph on guitar.
First Contact is a bridge between human emotion and love and relationships.
Featured as the ôR&B track of the dayö on Garageband.com, ôA Walk,ö is that
love song, with emotion to spare. ôGood Womanö featuring the soothing vocals
of singer/songwriter Salakida is an emotive plea with a backdrop of sweet
beats and funky bass lines. ôTouchuthereö had me from the first lick of the
bass; the lyrics are simply an added bonus of desire. And ôIn Loveö sums up
the entire album. With songs featured on the anime TV series, Afro Samurai
