█ . │▓ Nano Stern from Chile is set to release his new album, Los Espejos, on █
█ . │▓ November 2, 2009. He'll be celebrating the release with concerts at the █
█ . │▓ Mullum Music Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, as well as dates in █
█ . │▓ Sydney & Bellingen, at the end of November and beginning of December, █
█ . │▓ 2009. Since his Australian debut at Woodford in 2007/8, he's attracted a █
█ . │▓ legion of fanatical followers, drawn to their their feet, thundering for █
█ . │▓ more. His solo live show is not to be missed. ô...exudes authenticity and █
█ . │▓ the sheer love of making music. All in all one of the concert highlights █
█ . │▓ of the year so far.ö The Melbourne Age, March 2009 █
█ . │▓ █
█ . │▓ Los Espejos is Nano's third album and once again he is the producer, █
█ . │▓ composer and performer. The album was recorded in Chile in early 2009 with █
█ . │▓ his new band. The album was written all over the world with the first █
█ . │▓ song, Optical Ilusiones, written in the Kalang Valley, near Bellingen on █
█ . │▓ his first visit to Australia. █
█ . │▓ █
█ . │▓ Nano is a student of the traditional music of the world. Since he started █
█ . │▓ playing violin at 3, at the feet of his sister, he has travelled in his █
█ . │▓ home town of Santiago, across Latin America and is now adventuring around █
█ . │▓ the globe, filling old bottles with new wine. In 2008 and at just 23, Nano █
█ . │▓ won the Chilean Journalists' Choice Award (APES) for his second album, Voy █
█ . │▓ Y Vuelvo. He's established as a Latin American songwriter and is █
█ . │▓ passionate about the legacy of Victor Jara in Chile. █
█ . │▓ █
█ . │▓ Although he sings his songs in Spanish, his performance skills are such █
█ . │▓ that he manages to communicate the sense of his stories to all, with █
█ . │▓ beautifully composed melodies and superb arrangements. In March 2009 he █
█ . │▓ returned to Australia to tour, was the outstanding act of the Port Fairy █
█ . │▓ and National festivals and was broadcast live on ABC Radio's Music Deli. █
█ . │▓ Nano is gaining huge popularity in his own country and in Europe has █
█ . │▓ played to rave reviews at the Viljandi Folk Festival in Estonia and the █
█ . │▓ Umeσ Folk Festival in Sweden. █
█ . │▓ █
█ . │▓ Nano will return once more to Australia on Christmas Day this year with █
█ . │▓ the Folkoholics, an interethnic/national folk-punk-improv duet. Watch out █
█ . │▓ for the Matija Solce Puppet Theatre on the same tour down the east coast, █
█ . │▓ from Woodford, via Cygnet in Tasmalnia, the Illawarior Silver Jubilee and █
█ . │▓ concerts along the way in Maleny, Mullumbimby, Kalang and Lizottes in █
