ôItÆs been  over five  years since  Helsinki band  Flannelmouth released  their
critically acclaimed but sadly  overlooked debut album. With  towering baritone
vocals, jangly guitars and positively infectious melodies, they excelled in the
overcrowded field of Brit-influenced indie rock.

Now after years of hibernation the band strike back with a stellar sequel  full
of elegantly dramatic guitar-pop. This one is a darker and more sombre  affair,
but still as catchy and refreshingly free of the usual gothic excess. Balancing
some more subdued laments are  pure ragers like the menacing  disco-rock anthem
Make A Move. Far from settling for the usual solutions, thereÆs certain  subtle
brilliance both in  the production and  songwriting throughout the  record. The
bar is set pretty high for the rest of 2010.ö
