│SHAMBALA, on the one hand is the legendary kingdom in the Himalayas, │
│on the other hand it is the name given to the Buddhist myth that symbolizes │
│the silent, inner path to spiritual enlightment. The idea of composing this │
│meditative music by building on new ideas and on themes from previous │
│work was promoted by many MIND OVER MATTER fans asking for more │
│extended pieces of peaceful, relaxing music. │

│1985 erzaehlte mir Brian Eno in einem GesprΣch, da▀ er herausgefunden habe, │
│da▀ unsere Gehirne hoehenlastige Musik als nah am Ohr befindliche Geraeusche │
│einordnen und den Koerper wegen dieser vermeintlichen Bedrohung │
│unterbewusst in Alarmbereitschaft versetzen. Bei der Erstellung von SHAMBALA │
│habe ich mich an diese Erkenntnis erinnert und im Stile von Eno`s │
│AMBIENT MUSIC vorangegangene und neue MoM-Themen zu einer weichen, │
│unaufdringlichen, entspannenden Musik verknuepft. │
