The fifth and final edition of the Hyperdub 5 12" series, and it doesn't
dissapoint. Two of the highlight tracks from the Hyperdub 5 compilation, as
before fresh material that hadn't previously seen the light of day. Mala's long
sought-after "Level Nine" at long last available on wax complete with its
strangely moving bass reduction and melody makes for a killer A-side. It's Cooly
G's "Weekend Fly" that steals the show on this one. Constructed of stripped down
effects and awkwardly timed drums it's quirkiness works it into a
uncomfortabley-bizarre masterpiece. A definite 12" for the collection.
Delayed and postponed many times due bad pressing and still many crackling on
this one, but this kind of deep bass music deserves a vinyl rip!
