It's fair to say that it's been quiet on the release front for the Psychonauts
since their Mo'Wax heyday nearly ten years back, but they've been busy with solo
endeavours like Paul Mogg's dope releases on Supersoul and Pablo Clements more
recent work with the UNKLE project. 'Take Control' unites the pair again on a
tumultuous balearic fusion, tumbling rockier drums with psyched guitars inside a
dubby soundsphere, before Naum Gabo tighten up the rhythm section for a smart
Italo mix putting Sam Lynham's vocals to better use. The Psychatron mix caters
for the minal heads with a proggy building piece of tech-house and the ace More
Than Numbers version slows it all down to bring out the more sensuous Balearic
side.
