RELNOTES..:
Argentina native Matias Pecile moved a lot in his early childhood, but he ended up spending his teen years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While Iowa is
not known for its musical influence, it was here that Matias gained interest in electronic dance music.
His father was an avid musician, so Matias was able to have access to a modest studio by the time he was 14. Within a short year he earned a
weekly radio spot on Australian station Pulse Radio. On his show, Matias experimented with the darker sounds of Progressive House and Breaks.
By the time Matias was 18, music had intertwined itself in every aspect of his life. He was composing music on the guitar, and for the next few
years, he would focus solely on this instrument and music theory.
As life would have it, Matias moved again, this time to Dallas, TX. Within a short time, he began meeting avid listeners of electronic music. The
people he met had an opportunity to hear Matias mix at after-hour parties. They quickly realized the talent he possesed and pushed him to make
something of it. It was at this time that Matias paired up with Locklear to create the monthly event Teksuprt.
Thanks to the success of their monthly, Matias was placed on the bill for high profile events throughout the city such as Paolo Mojo, Format B,
Nick Curly, Proton Sessions, London Nights, KIK, and many others.
Today, Matias has paired up with Sarah Fraser to form thinKing, a creative project that will be debuting in 2010.
