Release Notes:
New single 'Doubt' may owe a certain debt to Sumner, Hooky and co, but
the scatter-shot electronic squelches, hushed vocals and robotic drum
loops are actually more akin to recent Bloc Party. However, Delphic
have a lighter touch and greater pop leanings than Kele Okereke's gang.
Even during the slightly cryptic chorus ("Doubt, in it all for me, I've
hit the wall, all that's left for you is doubt, better you than me,
I've so far to fall"), there's an immediacy and warmth to the track
which suggests that there's more to these Manc upstarts than New Year
hype.
