Anthony Nicholson is here. "Destination" is a glimpse into the
creative consciousness of one of dance music's most respected
producer/djs. We could go on and on about how fantastic this album
is, instead we decided to let the words of some well respected djs,
artist and producers do the talking.
Lars Bartkuhn :
Anthony Nicholson has always been a great influence on my path as a
musician. When I started producing dance music his productions were a
guiding light in a world of boredom and stereotypes and his musical
language made me feel connected to him very deeply right away. Much
more of importance is that his sonic language made me feel connected
to myself much better because he confirmed me in my attitude to never
make any compromises with my art. Today I'm happy to call Anthony a
good friend with whom I shared some unforgettable musical moments.
All human spirituality and emotions are gathered in Anthony's songs
and sounds and I can only recommend him to anyone who is looking to
find truth and meaning out there. Destination makes no exception and
has so many ingredients that make life just way better. It is an
album that only Anthony is capable of making! It seems like he
absorbed everything good from the past - without ever being affected
by all the rubbish one must stand today- and turned it into his very
own unique vision. A tune like Hotsauce&Drama makes me think of
expressions like "futuristic raregrooves" as the rest of the album is
a pure and lovely gift full of surprises, well known things and
delight. Thank you!
