dXb Fledgling Irish label Antiqua Recordings continue dXb
dXb their policy of great music and high profile remixers dXb
dXb with their second release, this time from Cork based dXb
dXb producer Darragh Casey. Fresh from the debut Antiqua dXb
dXb release which saw the likes of Stacey Pullen, dXb
dXb Ripperton, Silicone Soul and X-Press 2 nailing their dXb
dXb colours to the label's mast we now have the follow up dXb
dXb from fresh new talent Darragh Casey. This is Casey's dXb
dXb debut release and came through his friendship with dXb
dXb label boss John Buckley. For a new label to take on dXb
dXb material from an unknown artist can be a risk, in dXb
dXb Buckley's word's "I had never imagined releasing an dXb
dXb EP from a guy who had so little experience in music dXb
dXb production, then Darragh presented me with two dXb
dXb tracks; Tauru & Xuri. Both tracks blew me away & I dXb
dXb knew then that I had found the label's Second EP". dXb
dXb Casey's lack of experience is nowhere in sight on dXb
dXb this release with both tracks displaying a depth and dXb
dXb maturity that is hugely engaging. The package kicks dXb
dXb of with the original version of `Tauru', a bass heavy dXb
dXb slice of tech house awash with Detroit inspired dXb
dXb strings and broken percussion; this is lush and dXb
dXb melodic whilst sticking true to its underground dXb
dXb leanings. Following on from the original, `Tauru' dXb
dXb gets the remix treatment courtesy of Germany's Markus dXb
dXb Homm (Ostwind, Highgrade) who takes the elements and dXb
dXb creates a tough house cut is sure to get floor dXb
dXb moving. Second of the two tracks comes in form of dXb
dXb `Xuri', a beautifully brooding piece of electronica dXb
dXb that more than lives up to the expectations created dXb
dXb by `Tauru'. Classic 909 percussion and layer upon dXb
dXb layer of warm synth lines give this a timeless feel, dXb
dXb house music done this well by a production freshman dXb
dXb is astounding. The remix of `Xuri' comes from Detroit dXb
dXb renegade and current hot property `Kris Wadsworth' dXb
dXb who strips things back and delivers a stunning slice dXb
dXb of hypnotic music that blurs the lines between house dXb
dXb and techno. Antiqua is a label that in its infancy dXb
dXb already promises to become a key player in Europe's dXb
dXb electronic music scene and this single takes them dXb
