"no categories" not only holds up to its genre-busting title, but
also it's jam-packed with concrete tracks from the entire ubiquity
recordings family, including ubiquity, luv n' haight, and cubop. a
double cd compilation featuring the label's recently-released 12"
series, plus a few extras, it is sure to prick the ears of every
music lover in the area.
beat headz will freak out on the likes of the pre-dr. octagon
team-up of the automator and ever-so-kooky kool keith, "a better
tomorrow", spaced-out and junglized by our pal molasses. old
school die-hards will really dig tracks such as bobby matos'
covers of "the creator has a master plan", reinterpreted twice by
uk mr. scruff. and while fabric8 still hasn't gotten over the
beanfield remix of wally & swingsett's "tell me something", we
must give you a sampling of "why", the rhythmatic debut track by
live and direkt, aka dj tomas (umoja sound system) and professor
smith (xlr8r). we wish we could play you all of these mind-blowing
tracks, but you'll just have to buy the cds to really get the
picture.
