Two extremely talented and classically trained multi-instrumentalists, Rami
Khalife and Francesco Tristano combine talents as Aufgang, bolstered with
remixes from Robert Hood, Mondkopf and Wareika. The two figures behind this
project boast some impressive credentials; prize-winning Juilliard graduate
Khalife is a noted pianist and composer, while Tristano will be known to many
for his work alongside Moritz Von Oswald and classical interpretations of
Derrick May's 'Strings Of Life'. Together they create a lushly harmonised work
for piano and electronic beats/ Robert Hood samples their composition to create
a thumping 4/4 groove interjected with baroque piano keys and Wareika provide a
dub rolling house extension, a conservatory if you will. Rah.
