The second release of the Label "baud" by Tom Dicicco, from Manchester, features
the two tracks "Material Things" and "Empire", concluded by a remix of "Material
Things" by Patrick Graeser, who already attracts attention on "liebe*detail".
The A-side offers the title track "Material Things". Tom Dicicco knows how to
create a spheric and hypnotic tention, with a rollin' groove, which is finally
broken up by an intensive and increasing sound building, which never occurs
simple. The flip-side starts with a remix of Tom's "Material Things" by Patrick
Graeser, based in Berlin. Patrick takes a constant groove, carried by balanced
chords, into his sound shaker and developes a floating and growing basic sound
cocktail. The second track of the B-Side is "Empire", which gives an easy
feeling and appears warm and harmonic. A neverending sound stream keeping up the
dub techno!
