'Claustrophobia' is the third single from Choir Of Young Believers' debut album,
This Is For The White In Your Eyes, and it's another fine piece of progressive,
cinematic pop music, opening with a lead vocal from Jannis Noy Makrigiannis
that's halfway between Arthur Russell and Robin Pecknold from Fleet Foxes. The
original mix dissolves out into a massive, spacious sonic environment, while The
Antlers' Peter Silberman supplies skittering post-IDM breaks and ominous,
swelling synthetic backdrops that threaten to drown out the song itself.
Finally, Sian Alice Group's remix of 'Wintertime Love' arrives with an
appropriate level of frosty clarity, filling the air with crisp percussion,
chimes and a gauzy reverb over the hypnotic vocal lines.
