  █░    "Brooklyn, N.Y.-based independent label StarTime                    ░█
  █░  International -- home to Brendan Benson, French Kicks and             ░█
  █░  the Walkmen -- has teamed with The Fader magazine to start a          ░█
  █░  joint venture label, STIFLE, which will release club-                 ░█
  █░  oriented 12" singles. STIFLE, which stands for StarTime               ░█
  █░  International Fader Label Enterprises, plans to release a             ░█
  █░  12" single every four weeks. The first edition, STIFLE 001,           ░█
  █░  is due Aug. 12 and will boast remixes of French Kicks'                ░█
  █░  'Close to Modern' by Eucho and DJ Smash. STIFLE 002, set for          ░█
  █░  Sept. 9, will include remixes of the Streets' 'Weak Become            ░█
  █░  Heroes' by 3 Friends featuring Lisa Shaw and Royksopp. Each           ░█
  █░  STIFLE release will attempt to bring musicians and remix              ░█
  █░  artists from disparate genres together."                              ░█

  █░  remix by Royksopp.  The new mixes are really quite clubby,            ░█
  █░  not my bit at all - I think the Royksopp remix is the                 ░█
