| * One of the more eclectic San Francisco DJs & producers, DJ Garfh * |
| * moved to the West Coast of America from England with a custom * |
| * designed Turbosound rig and a bag full of 12" records. With a * |
| * passion for new music, the first of the notorious 'Wicked Crew' * |
| * full moon parties took place in 1991 and has since established * |
| * itself as one of the main purveyors of house music on the West * |
| * Coast, drawing guest DJs such as Louis Vega, Pierre, Tony * |
| * Humphries and Harvey. All aboard the crow's lovingly restored * |
| * 1947 Greyhound bus, Garth & friends have toured the States * |
| * extensively with their unique sound system and party ideology. * |
| * Grayhound Recordings was established in 1998 by Garth as an * |
| * outlet for the dub-heavy dance tracks long pioneered by the * |
| * Wicked Crew. Alongside Garth's solo material and his Rocket * |
| * project (with Eric James), Grayhound pulls on the local * |
| * resources and has built up a fine roster of artists, including * |
| * Wicked members Jeno & Markie, DJ Rasoul, Doc Martin and Dano & * |
| * Tony. Garth's remix credits have taken in artists like Nick * |
| * Holder. A Tribe Called Quest. * |
| * Faithless and former Janes Addiction frontman. Perry Farrell. * |
| * This compilation was selected for the niteilife mix in San * |
| * Francisco in the Summer of 2001, and shows why Garth is such an * |
| * innovative DJ of his time. The dubbed out influences run deep * |
| * through tracks like "Children Of Israel" and the awesome opener, * |
| * "Guiding Light", whilst no musical compromise is made on the * |
| * deep tech-house sounds of Dano's Mood II Swing remix and the * |
| * Swayzak mix of "Pasion Descalza". Whatever musical decriptions * |
| * can be made. it's only the ears that can fully realise the fresh * |
| * and forward thinking visions of the music on otter here. And * |
| * Garth has brought together a collection of tracks not often * |
| * heard, but certainly to be savoured as some of the best kept * |
