This Si Begg (Buckfunk 3000, Cabbage Boy, etc) production is an odd,
beat driven mixture of nearly every genre under the sun. Si's style is
characterised by clean, somewhat "retro" percussion, but with a heavy
slant toward modern production techniques, such as stutters & long
digital pulls. Melodies are often simple & given odd, off-kilter
textures. The result is a collection of tracks that are somewhere
between a Fuel recordings "Future Electro Breakbeat" release, and
something by Squarepusher or Aphex Twin. I eat this shit up...and you
should too!
