J:Kenzo follows up last years 'Mortal Kombat' 12" with two impressive tribal
winners for Argon. The use of jungle SFX on 'Tropic Thunda' strongly reminds us
of Geeneus' brilliant 'Congo' from 'Tempa Allstars Vol.2' with 4/4 stepping bass
and killer drum melodies to match. Big dancers tune! 'Counteraction' follows in
the tribalist vibe with shimmering organ chords and ghostly dancehall samples
over offset bass hits and deeper dub chords before the restless congas hit and
we're fully locked in. Top-a-top tracks for fans of Von D, Peverelist or XXXY!
