Release Notes:
Hot on the heels of their sold out and critically acclaimed UK tour and
following the brilliant reactions to the band's superb new album 'One
Life Stand', Hot Chip are back with 'I Feel Better'.
Hot Chip are back with an epic hit of euphoric hands-in-the-air bliss.
A house stomp that summons up the spirit of Black Box, S'Express and
InnerCity's 'Good Life' but also takes inspiration from the burgoening
UK funky scene. From computer looped strings and Joe Goddard's
auto-tuned vocals, the track simmers away before the chorus lifts-off
with enough power to blow a fuse. Chicago house synths colliding with
an uplifting vocal sung by Alexis Taylor as if he's been waiting all
his life to sing it. 'I Feel Better' is pulsing modern-day disco: an
electronic punch that refuses to sacrifice any emotional complexity. As
always, Hot Chip have enlisted a rich and vaired selection of remixers,
from legendary Richard X to UK Funky from London's Ill Blu, disco vibes
from Den Haan, Letter G and Harky's electro workout.
