| After 10 weeks and 40 gigs in Europe, (Spain, France, Germany, |
| Austria, Luxembourg, Holland and many more..) during the last months |
| of 2006, Griz is back in Chile again and a big issue now is how to |
| promote their fourth studio album (their fifth along their 9 years |
| of work) called volumen 4 . This work is a co-production between |
| PLANZ DISCOS, C.F.A and CICATRIZ; 5 songs, 29 minutes of music that |
| wonder, because in every album the composing couple Oyarzun-Vßsquez |
| have been sorting successfully many challenges, looking for a |
| comfortable sound in the studio, volumen 4 is quite close according |
| to what they want to sound. Although a limited edition was available |
| at some music shops in Santiago, the album will be release in March |
| of the current year (2007). A lot of very good critics from some |
| specialized media are surrounding the new album and also has been |
| praised as one of the most interesting debut of 2006 according to 3 |
| journalists from http://www.paniko.cl on January 19th, 2007, and |
| http://www.zona.cl/musica/ chose volumen 4 as one of the best albums |
| of the year (2006) ôThere arenÆt too many bands with raw and simple |
| ingredients and also those who can do music with distinction. |
| Yajaira was one of those, but they broke up. Griz is another and is |
| now available. In volumen 4 they sound both hypnotic and heavy, and |
| in the first song you can also imagine ôla conquistadaö melody from |
| Los Jaivas. But it could be a Chilean allucinationö. David Ponce (El |
