Pony Pony Run Run are a French electro-rock band with a
dance-punk style. Founded in Nantes, France, in 2003, the
band is a trio comprised of Gaδtan RΘchin LΩ Ky-Huong (aka
G; guitar, vocals), Amaδl RΘchin LΩ Ky-Huong (aka A;
bass), and Antonin Pierre (aka T; keyboards). Former
bandmembers include FrΘdΘric RiviΦre (drums) and Samuel
Cortes (guitar). Citing a long list of influences that
range from Devo and Kraftwerk, to Pavement and Weezer,
to Daft Punk and Autechre, Pony Pony Run Run made their
full-length album debut in 2009 with You Need Pony Pony
Run Run on the 3Φme Bureau label. The lead single "Hey
You" was a big hit, reaching the Top 20 in France and the
Top Ten in Belgium, and proved so popular that it
warranted the release of a nine-track Hey You Remixes EP
(2009). "Walking on a Line" was released as the follow-up
single. In 2010 Pony Pony Run Run were nominated for
Revelation of the Year at Les Victoires de la Musique
awards.
