| | Since their first release, "Hooked On", on V | |
| | Recordings in 2003, AI's reputation has been | |
| | growing with each release, but Glenn | |
| | Herweijer and Zula Warner did not record an | |
| | album in a rush, preferring to perfect their | |
| | unique sound before stepping into the arena | |
| | with a collection of singles that all made it | |
| | to number 1 in the Radio 1 dnb charts. Seven | |
| | years on, and with many anthems under their | |
| | belt û including "Uprising", "Desperado" | |
| | (voted as top dnb track of 2007 by Radio 1 | |
| | listeners) and "Days Of Rage" û a well | |
| | received mixed CDs, high profile remixes, and | |
| | a packed DJ schedule, AI are at last ready to | |
| | release their debut album. Judging by these | |
| | first tracks, if was worth waiting for. | |

| | AI are credited for pioneering a new sound | |
| | with their first releases, a subtle mixture | |
| | of precisely crafted grooves underpinned by | |
| | dancefloor-friendly sub bass and solid beats | |
| | that flows effortlessly in sets of DJs as | |
| | varied as Fabio, Hype and Andy C. For this | |
| | single they are joined by like-minded artist | |
| | D Bridge, both as co-producer and vocalist, | |
| | for an exquisite slice of perfectly balanced | |
| | drum and bass. Deep, bass driven melody, | |
| | sweeping strings, haunting vocals, gorgeous | |
| | synth touches give "Three's A Crowd" an | |
| | opulent yet eerie feel. | |

| | The uplifting "Blind Eye", featuring vocals | |
| | by DRS, is another classic AI cut: a smooth | |
| | yet deep groove punctuated by crisp breaks, | |
| | string stabs and infectious keys. | |

| | This single shows how AI are mastering the | |
| | art of fusing rough rhythms with smooth | |
| | grooves, reaching the degree of perfection | |
| | they wanted for their debut album and making | |
| | their music accessible beyond the traditional | |
| | scene. It might not be in the same style as | |
| | Chase and Status or Subfocus but has got as | |
| | much potential to win them a brand new | |
| | fanbase. "Stand Alone", featuring D Bridge, | |
| | DRS, Krust, Marky, Steo, Jakes and electro | |
| | legend Roy Davis Junior will be released | |
