"HOMY teamed up in late summer 2000 working on a remix for
another band. Anders brought in the funkier elements and
Jesper the more electronic vibes. öThe collaboration was so
much fun that we totally forgot about the remix and recorded
the very first Homy song öSelectricö...ö
Later on, to really get things going Jesper actually sold
his appartement to buy a proper studio. When Anders and
Jesper got together again, the sound developed into a
respectless mixture of almost every genre known to mankind.
Nina Natri was brought in for a guest appearance on the
track "Bus Stop" and everybody was really happy with the
results. She soon decided to join as a permanent member of
Homy. The first single, "Bus Stop", was released for the
first time as a promo-only in april 2002. Swedish national
radio played it heavily and it even became a minor hit on US
college radio. It entered the US alternative chart as number
4. The plan was to release the song "officially" right away
but instead Homy recorded a bunch of new songs and waited...
During that wait, the debut album "Music Box" developed and
a very special sound evolved. The sound of Homy."
