█ The Fauns are un ashamedly influenced by the █
█ shoegaze sound of the 90's citing My Bloody █
█ Valentine, Slowdive and Ride as influences. They █
█ give a personal twist to the genre whilst remaning █
█ respectful to the musical history they reference. █
█ "We wanted to play music which flew in the face of █
█ the day glow indie scene. It seemed the only way █
█ to do that was to buy a million cool guitar █
█ effects pedals and grow our fringes." The album █
█ consists of nine original compositions a cover of █
█ Brian indie classic "Understand" and a secret █
█ remix track by Robert Hampson from legendary drone █
█ rock act Loop. Album recordings were made DIY █
█ style between various bedrooms and small studios █
█ on a tiny budget. The Fauns were mentored through █
█ this difficult period by none other than Geoff █
█ Barrow from Portishead. The Fauns now gig █
█ regularly supporting the likes of Ulrich Schnauss, █
█ The Durutti Column and The Pastels. █
