Release Notes:
Best known as founding members of the spirited and
unpredictable rock trio The Slip, the brothers have
crafted a beautiful new album together with several
esteemed Montreal musicians. A self-produced,
self-recorded labor of love, the ten song album was
written over the course of the brothers time in a
city full of "strangers, lovers, old ghosts and new
friends" and recorded in an old boiler room at the
foot of Mount Royal.
The music is rooted in the folk tradition, classic
in its simplicity, while exploring new sounds and
unique instruments. The carefully crafted songs
feature harpist Sarah Page (Lhasa DeSela/Amon
Tobin), bassist Miles Perkin (Lhasa DeSela) and
several other Montreal musicians, including
Elizabeth Powell from Land of Talk.
