Release Notes:
"Still marvelling in the intoxicating effluence of smash æCould This Be
RealÆ, Sub Focus takes us into the next chapter of a fascinating story.
æSplashÆ was bornæ after Sub Focus was asked to remix I Blame CocoÆs
next single. The stunning contrast between CocoÆs rough delivery and
Sub FocusÆ slick groove and powerful guitar riffs of æSplashÆ is
stunning, and already proven a winner: on the day he got the track,
Zane Lowe made it æHottest Record In The WorldÆ.
To help spread the brilliance of æSplashÆ, special guest remixer Rusko
retains the freshness of the original but brings in some low end bass
plus rattling urban beats that battle with jumpy chords, itÆs a must
play. Bonus track æTimewarpÆ is a rave assault of the best kind led by
beats packing punch and adrenaline induced bass, an end of world
scenario crafted within 5 tight minutes.
The release of his debut, self titled album at the end of 2009 turned
Sub Focus into a phenomenon well beyond drum and bass circles, for it
merges sounds as diverse as house, dubstep, techno, electro and vintage
drum and bass with unprecedented skills. Sub Focus has been invited to
mix the cover CD of Mixmag (April issue), demonstrating his unique
mixing skills as well as his musical versatility. With more remixes,
collaborations - with Example and Nero, and his first live tour looming
supporting Pendulum, Sub Focus is still proudly plugging his album, and
taking it to new levels."
