|   |  If ever there was an LP that sounded EXACTLY the way its sleeve    |   |
|   |  looked, this would be it. Beach Head is an unfathomably spaced     |   |
|   |  out, four track long psychedelic epic, combining all those         |   |
|   |  slightly queasy new age-isms that seem to be so in-vogue right     |   |
|   |  now in the improv/psych community. Ancient, Popol Vuh-style synth  |   |
|   |  modulations get buried under a heap of generic 'Eastern' vibes,    |   |
|   |  echo-erased vocals and all manner of jangly, smudged out           |   |
|   |  percussion. Like the sleeve, you suspect all this trance-inducing  |   |
|   |  far-outness is a little bit tongue in cheek, but it's              |   |
|   |  terrifyingly hard to tell these days, isn't it?                    |   |
