Alluring new work from electronic music veterans The Black Dog (now with Ken
Downie alongside Richard and Martin Dust). Music... is a sonic
discourse/response built around ambient pioneer Brian Eno's pivotal 1978 LP
Music For Airports and made for multimedia installation. Where that album was
weightless, melodious and lush, The Black Dog's revision attempts to represent
the real airport experience in all its discomfort, irritation, unease and delay.
Minor key tones and drones languish, field recordings haunt and synth washes
invoke atmosphere. Essential record.
