It's taken us almost a year but...finally, our Modern Love label is
back with its second release!! This is a terrifying debut from an
artist you'll be hearing a lot more of in the very near future.
Already being caned by a selected array of renowned DJ's (those of
you who have seen Rob Hall play out recently will very probably have
been given a covert introduction to this material), there's a lot of
excitement surrounding the debut material from this mysterious
ex-Bitstream operator. The 6 tracks on board take us to over half an
hour's worth of ruffage, emanating from the twisted mangled beat and
bass mashup of opening track "Freeform Render" to the classic late
night IDM of "Rotating Mass", the sparse synth-heavy electroid
breakbeat of "Micro-Dotz", heavy bass decimations on "Nuclear
Fusion", classic acidic spacious electro on "Spacemission One" and
the monstrous, rigid low-end magnetism of the closing "Subversive
Chasm V2". There's a distinctive sound at play here that brings to
mind all manner of electronic blueprints as defined by the likes of
Afx, Eog and, of course, Bitstream, but there's a cetrtain twist to
the beats and the synths that you just won't hear anywhere else this
year. There's a second EP on the way from this guy, plus loads of new
Bitstream material and a very special EP from Manchester's mysterious
Pendle Coven to follow very shortrly - in the meantime you really
