The new mix CD will be Holden's first release since The Idiots Are Winning,
his album from 2006. Earlier that year, Holden demonstrated his eclectic
mixing skills on At The Controls, a compilation that wove together minimal
and tech house tracks with indie, kraut rock and experimental selections.
The tracklist for his forthcoming DJ-Kicks is similarly diverse, with tunes
by spaced-out artists like Caribou, Mogwai and Walls, as well as Kieren Hebden
(AKA Four Tet)'s collaboration with prolific jazz drummer Steve Reid. DJ-Kicks
will also include a unreleased track by Holden, entitled "Triangle Folds."
