| X | The name Redshape has become synonymous with a brand of highly | X |
| X | refined and cinematic Detroit techno ever since the release of | X |
| X | his 'Shaped World' 12" on Delsin in 2006. There have been | X |
| X | numerous rumours surrounding this enigmatic producer in the red | X |
| X | mask: is he a former KGB agent with a love for Detroit techno? | X |
| X | Was his face disfigured in an overloaded-909 incident? Is it Moby | X |
| X | in disguise? Hopefully those questions will never be answered and | X |
| X | we'll all be left guessing until he comes out in Q magazine | X |
| X | around 2034. Until then we have a beautiful body of work to get | X |
| X | lost in, making a classically executed return to the sci-fi | X |
| X | infused techno soul of Detroit music like Carl Craig's | X |
| X | 'Landcruising', the elegant luxury of John Beltran or the | X |
| X | electronic abstraction of the Black Dog. Redshape is the latest | X |
| X | in a tradition of torchbearers stretching from Juan Atkins via UR | X |
| X | and Basic Channel to stand for something unspoken, closely | X |
| X | guarded and mystical in the world of techno, a spirit that has | X |
| X | largely been lost in translation over the last three decades. | X |
