:: Sprout Music keeps the fire burning strongly as 2010 rolls on, once again offering ::
:: up a steamy festival of beats for the labels third release of the year. Continuing ::
:: to maintain a strong connection to the rising stable of UK techno producers, the ::
:: newest release features Jon Gurd, another Sprout newcomer whose productions have ::
:: been forging a path of mayhem across worldwide dancefloors. Since his debut release ::
:: in 2005, Jon Gurd has kept up a blistering pace of tunes, with a slew of works ::
:: gracing the likes of Killawatt, Alive Recordings, Baroque Records, Mutekki, Cubism ::
:: and Meat Katies legendary imprint Lot49. His knack for evoking a hypnotic rhythmic ::
:: depth across genres has put his tunes in regular rotation amongst the most ::
:: experienced deck wizards, and his studio skills in increasing demand amongst ::
:: discriminating labels looking for a touch of class. ::
:: ::
:: Route None plays on the hypnotic edge of swinging tech-house, teasing the listener ::
:: with an inconspicuous hint of funk while maintaining a restrained groove that sways ::
:: and bends at the mercy of a series of inviting effects and barely audible vocal ::
:: chants. Turkin hits the floor running with a straightforward gallop begging for peak ::
:: hours, over which a multifaceted atmosphere of smoothly evolving audio layers ::
:: colludes to fabricate a steady, inescapable current. Never losing its sense of ::
:: cultivated restraint, an oscillating structure carries the listener through a series ::
:: of peaks and valleys while captivating the focus for an unanticipated degree of ::
:: intensity. ::
:: ::
:: ::
:. Enjoy ! .:
