Yosa is a young talented producer and DJ from Tokyo, Japan. He has
already released on Supplemental, Resopal and Dirt Crew Records. With
this EP on Drumpoet he comes with a more soulful and funky EP which
is defenetly has been influenced by the early sound of Lil' Louis.
Nothing but honest, rough and dirty house music. Ruff Jam is one hell
of a tune, impossible to resist and real peak time action as it's
supposed to be. None of the loopy modern house vibe in here, sounds
like it could be from the early 90s with this fresh vibe which only
young producers really live. Tough Enough and Rough Trade go a bit
deeper without loosing the groove and have referrences to Yosa's love
for 70s jazz and funk records. This young man has definitely a bright
future and we're pretty sure that there's more great music coming
from this promising Japanese youngster!
