      When Dan Snaith stopped by and gave a Progress Report on          ██░
      Swim, his followup to 2007Æs Andorra he let Jessica know          ██
      that ôrather than planning and writing out structures as he       ██
      did with with Andorra à [he] recorded bits of pieces of           ██
      things he likes to see what sticks and what doesnÆt.ö             ██

      One thing thatÆs emerged: Snaith has decided to combine the       ██
      dancier tracks from his Daphni project (he recently               ██
      completed a Courtney Tidwell remix) with the songs heÆs been      ██
      prepping as Caribou. ôIt just happens that some of the            ██
      tracks that were supposed to be dance-y were the most             ██
      interesting to me. They had elements that dance music wasnÆt      ██
      supposed to have, or had sounds dance music doesnÆt               ██
      traditionally have in it, or some beat or tempo that wasnÆt       ██
      characteristic of dance music or whatever,ö he explains.          ██
      ôIÆve never been successful at being rigid and saying,            ██
      æOkay, this track is going to be in this genre.Æ I always         ██
      follow my nose and throw in any elements that appeal to me.ö      ██

      As far as the Swim title, Pitchfork quotes a statement where      ██
      Snaith said he ôgot excited by the idea of making dance           ██
      music thatÆs liquid in the way it flows back and forth, the       ██
      sounds slosh around in pitch, timbre, panà Dance music that       ██
