Release Notes :

?Grand Cru? is a familiar term in the wine business and often denominates a
special wine, which is made from the best grapes of either one wine-producing
area or one vintage. In diesem Sinne ver÷ffentlicht Connaisseur Recordings die
neue Ausgabe ihrer alljΣhrlichen ?Grand Cru? Compilationreihe. Auch dieses Mal
prΣsentiert das Label darauf eine erlesene Auswahl an Kⁿnstlern. Sowohl
StammgΣste wie auch neue Gesichter sind vertreten.

This year?s vintage is the most diverse and comprehensive
selection so far. 20 tracks ranging from listening to floor-
rockin, both single-minded and detached from all zeitgeisty
tendencies. Apart from Connaisseur?s own Afrilounge,
Chymera, Pol_On, Daso (this time teaming up with Israeli
singer Ofrin), ZoδXenia, Estroe, Patrick Chardronnet,
Sebastian Roya, Alex Flitsch meets Butch and Martin
Beume, we have three newcomers in the selection: The
Portuguese young bloods Cleymoore and Himan and the
music-making winemaker Florian Hollerith from one of the
best wine areas in Germany: the Palatinate, all of them
promising artists with unique styles.
