Release.Info :
Innovative vocal trio Sashird Lao (France) was finalist in the National Jazz
Music Competition (Paris) and 2007 winner of the JuryÆs Prize at the
International Jazz Festival of Juan Les Pins.
With phenomenal artistry and originality, Sashird Lao displays a breathtaking
melting of jazz, world, soul, African and urban grooves û layering voices,
horns, percussion and loops.
The three members of Sashird Lao are often both singer, instrumentalist and
percussion player whithin a same track. Don't you think this jazz group is
simply unique!
Listening to their tracks will lead you into another universe! Not only because
they are able to play any kind of instruments but also because they compose
their own original music while playing standard pieces from Mingus, Ellington,
Pastorius or Davis.
You will be very surprised and bewitched to watch them juggling with their
talents, mixing jazz with African music, Soul and & Blues rythms, Reggae and
Funk music.
This trio is definetly a kind of a melted jazz group in which jazz music has no
borders. Enjoy this fresh and creative jazz music discovering theirs albums.
