|   |  Episode 01 of Ghost Box's Study Series is upon us, featuring much  |   |
|   |  needed new material from Belbury Poly and Moon Wiring Club. With   |   |
|   |  a spirit of cooperation that'd make the Blue Peter team proud,     |   |
|   |  both tracks are a collaborative effort, combining tweedy           |   |
|   |  electronics in a crackly collage of trippy beats, samples and      |   |
|   |  vivid feelings of dejß entendu. Those slack, sorta rocky, slow     |   |
|   |  drum breaks initially make 'The Young' People' sound like a        |   |
|   |  Mo'wax offcut or some Clouddead B-side before the Eldritch-tronic  |   |
|   |  melody comes in like Made remixed by Paul White. 'Portals and      |   |
|   |  Parallels' jumps into a more exotic bath of frothy psyche rock     |   |
|   |  drums and unnerving synths imagining Moroder's 'Midnight Express'  |   |
|   |  soundtrack mixed by John Baker. Inherently eccentric and quite     |   |
|   |  delicious to boot.                                                 |   |
