Finnish producer Late has secured a healthy reputation with respected
drops on Noppa, Formant and more recently for Skream's Disfigured Dubz.
Moving into darker Burial territory for Immerse, he offers four
emotional punishments riding dread Reese bass and idiosyncratic garage
syncopations. It should be pointed out that of all the post-Burial
facsimiles, these really are some of the best examples we've heard. On
part 1 of this two part series we're privy to the mournful but lush
gliding vibes of 'Losing You' on the A-side, and the uniquely
concatenated undercarriage of 'Under These Conditions' with smudged
trancey arrangements for that tears-on-the-dancefloor trainer-gaze vibe.
