Release Notes:
--------
Longtime Montreal front man, Colin Moore comes out with his debut solo album,
Leaving Home on Indica Records. Though new to the folk rock scene, Moore is no
stranger to the Montreal music scene. Moore, who has played a vital part in the
punk scene as Road BonesÆ front man for many years switches gears with this solo
folk project.
MooreÆs expertise shows in the quality of his debut solo album; well-crafted and
musically ingenious, as if he has been in the folk scene for decades. Moore
writes all of his own lyrics, and they are creative and not limited to sappy
love songs about lost loves and heartbreak.
The album itself is folk rock, plain and simple. Leaving HomeÆs raw vocals,
melodic harmonica and strong folky guitar-driven harmonies combine to make an
outstanding folk rock album. This is an easy-listening album, and shows MooreÆs
wide range of talent, having gone from loud punk rock, to soft folk music.
Remember his name, because Colin Moore is on the rise.
