Release Notes: ░██▓
██▒
First album by french hip-hop pioneer Dee Nasty. Pure old ██░
school j-funk hip hop. Mostly instrumental and english, ██
except for a few tracks. ██
██
Dee Nasty is the man behind the first ever french hip hop ██
release "Paname city rappin" back in 1984, where he started ██
the block parties in the Paris area. Intronised "Zulu King" ██
in 1986 by Afrika Bambaata himself, he's also France DMC ██
champion 1986/1987/1988. Starts the Dynastyle rap show on ██
Radio Nova in 1987, the then hottest FM in Paris. Europe DMC ██
champ in 1991, the year this album gets released. Legendary ██
"Chez Roger, boite funk" parties at the Globo club in 1990. ██
Tour in japan with maceo Parker in 1991... In short, one of ██
the 2-3 people responsible for the starting and growing of ██
hip hop culture and music in France. ██
██
Tom @ www.hiphopgame.com/nastyness.html : ██
"Who's Dee nasty? For those who don't live in France this ██
might be the first time you see his name while in fact the ██
man is a myth... ██
Being from France, Dee Nasty is the person I respect the ██
most in French Hip-Hop today since he's the one who brought ██
and made me discover this music. ██
Back in 1982, Dee Nasty was already DJing while most French ██
people were listening to pop or new wave music from the UK. ██
In 1985 he was throwing regular block parties in the suburbs ██
of Paris and a couple years after he became famous for his ██
'Dr Old School' show on radio nova along with host Lionel D. ██
This show featured groups like NTM or MinistΦre Amer and all ██
over France, tapes were being recorded and people (like me) ██
became aware that French Hip-Hop could sound really dope. ██
Over the past few years, Dee has worked on international ██
collabos like Scienz of Life's 'Divine Connection' featuring ██
Red One." ██
