Oslo Synth Festival - Norway's only festival dedicated to
underground electronic music
* What is it?
At Oslo Synth Festival you can hear anything from cute synth pop
to ecstatic industrial noise.
Our goal is to promote Norwegian electronic music from the
underground, as well as introduce a few international acts to the
Norwegian crowd. The festival started in 1999 and has only grown
bigger since then. Oslo Synth Festival is an idealistic
organisation, i.e. we don't make any money from doing this. The
idea is that we, the audience, the bands and everyone else
involved should have a great time.
* Who are going to perform?
Our two headliners are fabulous Welle:Erdball from Germany and
our own Apoptygma Berzerk.
The Norwegian bands at Oslo Synth Festival are: Sweep, Zensor,
In_zekt, Zers÷trer, Sordid Sentimental, Rustflower inc, Dead
Pilots, Sunjammer and son tarjeiav.
This year's DJs represent three of the biggest synth clubs
outside Oslo, and we also have a guest appearance from
Copenhagen, Denmark. They cover most electronic genres, and will
be playing half hour sets between the bands.
* When and where is it?
Oslo Synth Festival will be held at the venue Betong/Chateau Neuf
this year at Nov 8th. The doors open at 7PM. Don't come late,
because the bands start at 7.30PM.
