█▀░░ PsyCZ group was formed in spring 2001 by its first three members ... ░░▀█
█▀░ But as every group grows and gets new members, new people joined PsyCZ ░▀█
█▀░ to help us in our mission. Our main common loved genere was psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ ... of course, but everone of us likes several more genres. This caused, ░▀█
█▀░ that several members began to demand releasing other music styles such ░▀█
█▀░ as ambient, drum&bass and few more ... So we realized, that our original ░▀█
█▀░ name PsyCZ is a little uncomfortable, because it highlights our psy - ░▀█
█▀░ sight. After few days of debates we decided to found new sub-group ... ░▀█
█▀░ and here we are ... PsyCZ_NP will bring you plenty of non psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ music ... especially ambient, but some other genres are planned too. ░▀█
█▀░ Why did we decide for non-psy? Changing of the group name isn't possible ░▀█
█▀░ so possibilities we had was only adding a suffix to current group name ░▀█
█▀░░ ... so have chosen non-psy, because it's clearest and most fluent ... ░░▀█

█▀║ Since 1999 Martin Cradick, Nii Tagoe and Seckou Keita have all played ║▀█
█▀║ together in the internationally acclaimed "Baka Beyond". In order to ║▀█
█▀║ express a different side of their music they have formed a new ║▀█
█▀║ project, "EtE" which means triangle in Gha (Nii's native tongue). With ║▀█
█▀║ melodies to touch the heart, rhythms to touch the feet and virtuoso ║▀█
█▀║ performances on balafon, kora, guitar and mandolin as well as a range ║▀█
█▀║ of percussion, this is music to feed the soul! ║▀█
█▀║ EtE have the ability to weave a spell that will enchant any audience ║▀█
█▀║ and take them on a journey through uncharted musical waters. Mixing ║▀█
█▀║ traditions, ancient and modern, from UK, Ghana and Senegal they show ║▀█
█▀║ that we should relish the diversity of cultures in the world whilst ║▀█

█▀║ Martin Cradick had his musical training by travelling the world and ║▀█
█▀║ busking with musicians that he met along the way, music often being ║▀█
█▀║ the only common language. He first started to draw from his ║▀█
█▀║ international musical experiences by co-founding the original world ║▀█
█▀║ music band "Outback". 'After living with the Bangombi (Baka Pygmies), ║▀█
█▀║ playing music with them and being' initiated into some of their ║▀█
█▀║ dances, he founded the group "Baka Beyond". Whilst being an ║▀█
█▀║ accomplished guitarist and mandolin player, he also has a unique ║▀█
█▀║ ability to find the common elements in diverse musical traditions, and ║▀█
█▀║ to seamlessly combine them in an innovative and uplifting way. ║▀█
█▀║ Nii Tagoe was born in Accra, Ghana, into a royal family from whom he ║▀█
█▀║ inherited his talent for drumming, dancing and singing. He has a deep ║▀█
█▀║ knowledge.of the diverse dance and rhythmic traditions of Ghana and ║▀█
█▀║ has been trained in dance in Zulu Land and throughout Central and West ║▀█
█▀║ Africa. He came to Britain as a principal dancer and drummer in the ║▀█
█▀║ Adzido dance company, has choreographed many dances, including Peter ║▀█
█▀║ Gabriel's floor show at the London Millennium Dome, and runs his own ║▀█
█▀║ dance company and band, "Frititi". He has performed as a ║▀█
█▀║ percussionist, singer and composer with Baka Beyond since 1998. Nii ║▀█
█▀║ continues to study traditional African music as a foundation for his ║▀█
█▀║ work. ║▀█
█▀║ Seckou Keita is a griot and international performer with a fantastic ║▀█
█▀║ musical family pedigree. He is descended from the famous founder and ║▀█
█▀║ ruler of Mali,Sundiata Keita, but was raised by his mother's family ║▀█
█▀║ (the famous Cissokho's) in Senegal and so inherited his griot ║▀█
█▀║ tradition through her. Seckou is deeply influenced by his indigenous ║▀█
█▀║ role as an historian, carrying his tradition through, his songs. His ║▀█
█▀║ experiences and travels throughout Europe, Scandinavia and India have ║▀█
█▀║ also heavily inspired his music. Since his arrival in 1999, Seckou has ║▀█
█▀║ played with many groups in the UK including Baka Beyond and with his ║▀█
█▀║ own group Jamoral. ║▀█

█▀║ Coming from within the ranks of Baka Beyond, "EtE" ( triangle,) is a ║▀█
█▀║ three way collaboration between the roots of the UK, Ghana and ║▀█
█▀║ Senegal. Cradick is a master at this sort of fusion having previously ║▀█
█▀║ successfully integrated the music of African pygmies with Celtic ║▀█
█▀║ styles, whilst his colleagues are no slouches in their own right, ║▀█
█▀║ Tagoe on balafon and Keita with kora, the project has CradickÆs finger ║▀█
█▀║ prints all over it. As such it has a stamp of class and authenticity ║▀█
█▀║ lesser experimentalists couldnÆt hope to match. The careful approach ║▀█
█▀║ of Baka Beyond, who never allow themselves to be taken at face value ║▀█
█▀║ or forget the validity of the original traditions on which their world ║▀█
█▀║ fusion is based is carried over here. "EtE," is a blend of three equal ║▀█
█▀║ parts, nothing dominates without allowing the other instruments ║▀█
█▀║ similar space. The melt of kora and mandolin with the high sounding ║▀█
█▀║ percussion of the balafon is a forcing ground for melody, rhythm and ║▀█
█▀║ even improvisation. ║▀█
█▀║ Generous in composition terms Cradick allows his chums more than the ║▀█
█▀║ lionÆs share of the composition, probably assuming - rightly so as it ║▀█
█▀║ happens - that most of the inspiration should come from the African ║▀█
█▀║ sources within the mix. The whole is a tumbling blend of gentle ║▀█
█▀║ strings - various kinds - and relaxing takes as three musicians kick ║▀█
█▀║ off their shoes and get into a global groove. A real sense of sharing ║▀█
█▀║ and swapping comes over as the album progresses. Outside helpers are ║▀█
█▀║ few though Baka colleague and all round good guy Paddy Le Mercier adds ║▀█
█▀║ some thoughtful fiddle licks on Bwamba, and the full potential of the ║▀█
█▀║ ensemble is realised through the five minutes of gleeful title track. ║▀█
█▀║ A good way to realise music is a true universal language. ║▀█
