Release Notes:
Tinashe's new single 'Saved' gets some exceptional re-workings here.
Bringing the funk yet highly eclectic at the same time, Sinden does the
dirty and rolls out another wonder. Young upstars Totally Enormous
Extinct Dinosaurs proves a force to be reckoned with, drop this deeply
toned and straight up powerhous trip for some very nice results. MNEK
follows with some flattering electro-pop whilst one of our favourite
bands Bombay Bicycle Club swap the live stage for the studio desk, with
an uplifting saxophone-led remodel.
Multi-talented vocalist, musician and songwriter Tinashe is set to
release his new single 'Saved' on August 15th. Taken from his
forthcoming self-titled debut album - released August 23rd - 'Saved' is
a joyous blast of guitar pop so perky it belies its rather weightier
subject matter. Written after being accosted by a particularly
forthright tramp on London's Oxford Street, its underlying message of
defiance and self-belief is deeply personal. Again a wall of
deliriously up-tempo sound decorated with strutting guitars and elegant
strings, 'Saved' is as fun as it's possible for a song to be without
asking you out for a game of beach volley ball and a margarita. Over
the course of the year, Tinashe has more than proved his talent as a
live performer, with a host of thrillingly addictive shows, supporting
the likes of Ellie Goulding, I Blame Coco, Marina & The Diamonds and
Kate Nash.
