| | German DNB maestro Panacea makes his return, | |
| | with his debut for Luna-C's KFA label. This | |
| | 12" is filled with his trademark hardcore- | |
| | influenced DNB sound in two tracks. The | |
| | A-side, "Lawless", is a very thinly disguised | |
| | remix of Messiah's '91 classic "There Is No | |
| | Law", down to the vocal samples and synth | |
| | riffs, but also keep an ear open for some | |
| | Soul II Soul vocals more famously used in | |
| | N'Joi's "Anthem". The flip, "The Lightning", | |
| | steals a riff that's been used over and over | |
| | again in hardcore, the bell pattern from Mike | |
| | Oldfield's "Tubular Bells". Both tracks are | |
| | well wicked. Panacea is pushing the hardcore | |
| | sound well into the next era... if you're | |
| | sleeping on this one, you might as well stay | |
| | slept. But if you're interested in bringing | |
| | dnb up to date, grab these off of KFA's | |
| | official distro, www.i-tunes.co.uk, or get | |
| | them from any good online or local shop very | |
| | soon. | |
