Û ÛÛ Arnhem, by Fred Smeijers, was initially designed for the ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ Nederlandse Staatscourant, the daily newspaper of the Dutch ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ state. This typeface can be classified as a very functional ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ design suitable for setting text in large quantities. The ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ family consists of four weights: blond, normal, bold and ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ black. Each weight has a roman and an italic, and both have ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ matching small caps, lining figures, non-lining figures and ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ small cap figures. ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ Arnhem Normal has a strong colour, which is good especially in ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ small sizes and in less than optimal printing circumstances. ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ Arnhem does not have a light weight, instead there is a blond ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ version. The blond a bit too heavy to be classified as a real ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ light is meant to be used in those circumstances in which a ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ strong colour is not really wanted or needed. ÛÛ Û
