Studio Nova vs Deep Code represent in our minds some of the best
funky tech-house out there at the moment and weÆre sure that youÆll
agree when you hear this two track EP. ôCadenceö works the minimal
angle perfectly. It starts with a deep and funky drumbeat, based
around a seriously hypnotic groove. It builds things up with a
bottom-scraping bassline and before long things are cooking along
quite nicely. In floats a relentless 303 acid line, morphing and
dancing all over the place. Simplicity is key and the results speak
for themselves. ôHumö on the flip starts with another tight little
percussion pattern built around a funky bassline. From there the
track grows into a nice blend of off-key chords and vocoded vocals.
Another serious release from Inversus that is sure to find its way
into a whole host of new DJÆs record boxes.
